What is tApCalcCPA?

tApCalcCPA is a calculator software that features a virtual paper tape. Calculations done by you can be recorded in this virtual paper tape for future use. tApCalcCPA features include:

• Standard calculator with memory functions, sub-total, total, grand total, mark-up and markdown functions, and 1000s separator for readability.

• Calculations saved can be reloaded and extended with additional calculation that is continuation of the previous calculation. For example, if you are shopping and you want to keep track of all the spending, start a calculation, save it to a tape, reload the tape and add additional spending to the same tape. At the end of shopping, you will have all expenses recorded and calculated.

• Description, Data and operators in the paper tape can be edited and the calculation redone without reentering all data again. For example, if you are calculating a bill and made a mistake in entering a number, no need to restart the calculation from beginning. Just go back and edit the wrong data, select "Run tape" to redo the calculation, and start entering new data to be added to the calculation. You can also tap in the beginning of any line and enter a description for the entry in that line of calculation.

• Tapes stored as Output can be viewed, printed and emailed directly.

• Tapes created using tApCalcCPA can also be edited using Palm memopad program and they are automatically synced when you sync the Memopad database using your Palm Desktop tools.

• Switch over the standard mode, which is essentially the scientific mode that allows you to calculate 12 places after decimal point and larger results.

Before you Install

• This application required AppForge booster for visual basic to run. AppForge booster allows you to run visual basic programs written using the popular AppForge development platform. If you do not already have AppForge booster, you can get it from http://www.appforge.com/booster.html FREE of charge.

• Printing from tApCalcCPA requires PalmPrint program that enables direct printing from Palm devices. If you do not have this program, all functions of tApCalcCPA will work except directly printing output tape files from your Palm device. You can obtain a copy of PalmPrint using the following link http://www.stevenscreek.com/palm/palmprint.shtml

Steps to Install tApCalcCPA

• Unzip the downloaded file using Winzip. If you are able to read this file then you have probably already unzipped the file. You should see another file TapCalcInstaller.exe In this directory.

• Run the tapcalcinstaller.exe. It will copy the necessary files for Palm desktop to install tApCalcCPA.

• Get connected by putting your palm device on the cradle and press hotsync. tApCalcCPA will be installed on your device. You will see the tApCalcCPA ICON on your Palm. Click on it to run the program.
